Karuppu, a film by R.J Balaji
Summary of the story is unnecessary here, nor I am a film critic. I would like to register my view as an advocate or as a thinker on behalf of society. Director Balaji's film Karuppu is not a legal courtroom drama. Karuppu is a magical fantasy with myth and religious bonding. In short karrupu is an experiment between corruption and justice. The chosen area of practice to conduct this experiment is a courtroom. Corruption is lead by "Baby Kannan" and Justice is said to be lead by a lawyer (an avatar of Karuppu). Director has thought about the magical fantasy and myth that can overpower a human abilities and thus in the film itself asks Baby Kannan to perform his (Surya) practice within the abilities as a human. In the second half, there will be a trial of a sexual harassment case. Where, the counsel for accused again "magically" starts spitting out facts instead of his usual lies and the prosecution wins. Starting from there, all cases are won for justice just...
